IHA FOUNDATION

What is "Is hope Alive Foundation”?

Is hope Alive Foundation is a humanitarian foundation initiated by me and my other two colleagues. As the phrasal name implies, we try to give hope and solution to those souls that keep asking the questions “is hope alive in this or that area of my life”?

Her function is to be dedicated to humanitarian services, for creating a future for the less privileged Children, providing help to the helpless sick people in the hospital, the mentally retarded, physically challenged and other vulnerable groups in the society. We also seek to be the voice for the voiceless, the depressed, the hopeless and the rejected ones in the societies. We want to serve as an intermediary between the haves and the haves-not in our societies.

I have this so much hunger to live my life for the people around me. I want to touch and impact the lives of many Nigerians, and even beyond, if God permit. I cry within when I saw people dying of poverty. I felt the pain when I see the soul that are willing to do great things but have got no means or nobody to back them up. It triggers my emotion when I see people die in the hospital because they couldn’t foot the bills in the hospital; to mention a few.

I don’t want my age to debar me from doing the good things I’ve dreamt of doing for humanity since I was a kid. I realize I can’t do this alone, and I’ve got to seek for the support of an organization that may be willing to contribute her quota to humanity. I believe the day we stop fighting for each other is the day we stop being human.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Many Nigerian are suffering and dying due to abject poverty. Many are out there that are unable to foot hospital bills. They are stranded and dying. 70-80% of Nigerians are living under 1.5 dollars a day. Many innocent, but unfortunate children are out there willing to go to school, but they have no parents or relatives to support them. Are we going to say it is the fault of this children to be born into the families that is not buoyant enough to give them the good things of life they deserve?

Think of the stat of helpless patients that die in the hospital because they can’t afford to pay up their bill, think of the percentage of people that stay away from the hospital for proper medical care because they are scared of the hospital bills. Think of the people that die of kidney problem, people that need surgeries, to mention a few. All these lives are cheaply wasted because of poverty; because there is no help around the corner for them. Why can’t we stand for each other and save lives? Why are we losing our sense of humanity?

Think of the so called Almajiris in the Northern part of Nigeria. Imagine the way they suffer daily. They are the unfortunate young children in the Northern part of Nigerian that live their lives on the street, begging for money and food every blessed day. Most of them are without parents, and most don’t even know their parents at all. They live on the street, eat on the street, sleep on the street, with tattered clothes and shoes, or without shoes at all; despite the prominent scorching sun in the region.
I just wish somebody can feel the way I feel about these unfortunate children who are meant to be the future of tomorrow, but there destiny are being twisted because they have no support.

They are children like your children too but they are not fortunate enough to enjoy the grace me, you and your children enjoy. I feel for these young ones so much. I wish the government can provide a lasting solution to this, instead they snub this situation. Even the rich ones in their environment prefers to turn them in into the arm-receiver of their own seemingly sense of generosity.

On May the 8th, 2016, U-report Nigeria sent me an update on how 2000 women and 158 children die every day because of poor access to basic healthcare. That is absolutely disheartening.
The instances above are just few of many problems that should be deeply looked into in Nigeria, and the solution is never in the hands of the problem because they are probably the causative if the problem.
And if this problem must be alleviated in Nigeria, all hands must be on deck in supporting and helping the less privileges in our societies.

GOAL:
To touch and save as many lives as possible through our service to humanity.
OBJECTIVES:
